We Snap In Silence by LaVender Williams

Do you often feel overwhelmed and stressed out as a mother?

Do you feel like you don’t measure up to other moms?

Do you think that you have to put on a happy face, even when you aren’t happy and are about to snap?

If you answered yes to any of the above questions, I would like to suggest that you check out the book, We Snap in Silence by LaVender Shedrick Williams.  This revealing book tells of how LaVender overcame private pain and found peace as a woman, wife, and mother.

Society has made it taboo to publicly express difficulty with juggling motherhood and being a wife. LaVender’s passion is to reach out to moms and let them know that they are not alone whenever they may feel overwhelmed with the cares of motherhood, housework, and being a wife.  Her passion is clearly expressed in this book.

LaVender gives us an insider’s view of how she adjusted to motherhood and being a stay-at-home mom after retiring from the Navy.  It definitely wasn’t the walk in the park that she expected it to be.  But LaVender doesn’t give a “woe is me” story.  She gives women tools on how to regroup whenever they may feel like they are going to snap.

We Snap in Silence contains practical advice and is very easy to read. It’s almost as if LaVender is sitting across the table from you, sharing her testimony and words of wisdom.

There is a “PMS checklist” at the end of the book.  I bet you are wondering what that’s all about!

You can find out more about this book, by visiting LaVender’s website, at http://www.lavenderwilliams.com.

Every day is a challenge as a SAHM. You never know what you're going to get, but one thing I do know: His grace is sufficient to get me through my day. They may not all be pretty, but I'm thankful for each one.

Although I love being a stay at home mom, I have some horrible days. This sounds like a great book to get over some of those days!
