The Four Checks…

Happy Monday Everyone!

I would like to share with you “4 Checks” that you need to do whenever you go shopping.

  • Check the expiration date. I have bought barbecue sauce from a grocery store, got it home, and realized that it had expired two months prior!!!  The store had no problem with letting me exchange it.
  • Check for tampering. Now I know you may think I’m being paranoid, but here is a good case in point: This weekend, I bought some garlic and herb seasoning.  I got it home and someone had opened it already!  Needless to say, I took it back.  Besides, I don’t know if the person had just done a sniff test, or if the person put something in there.  On top of that, it said in big letters on the seasoning “DO NOT USE IF OPENED OR TAMPERED WITH.”  Nuff said for me!
  • Check for coupons. Stores like JC Penney often have coupons in their weekly sales paper.  Your cashier may not be nice enough to inform you that you could have saved $10 off your $50 purchase, so always check the sales paper.
  • Check your receipt. I have been overcharged for items more times than I can count.  I recently was charged twice for an item that I only bought one of.  I called the store back and was told that I can get that taken care of the next time I came to the store.
What check would you add to this list?

    @Larie – Girl that's funny!
    @Martha – My husband bought some moldy cheese one time too! The store took it back with no problem though.
    @Twincerely, Olga – Thanks for stopping by!

    I am a victim of expired food as well, imagine moldy cheese! It was hard to notice the mold since it was pepper jack :o)

    Here's another check, I look closely at the price tag and read how much it costs per ounce. I compare the item with another similar item before I purchase. You'll be amazed at how "seemingly expensive" items are actually great deals but only bigger.

    I'm being humorus but serious as well but we need to check the bottom of our cart and each child at the checkout for any "misplaced" items!

    smooches,
    Larie
