The Power of Our Testimony

Life is a journey, filled with all kinds of adventures.

Some of them are good, some of them are not so good.

But isn’t it great that we have a faithful God that we can run to when times get rough?

Isn’t it great to serve a God that can deliver us from any situation that we may be going through?

Isn’t it great that God could choose YOU to help someone get their breakthrough?

What am I referring to?

Your testimony.

Many people shy away from sharing their testimony because they are afraid or ashamed about what happened in their life. But people need to hear from you.

Some churches still have “Testimony Service.” In this kind of service, people give “Praise Reports” about how God brought them out of a situation or made a way for them when times got rough.

There have been countless times in which I was encouraged and blessed by hearing how God helped someone that was going through the same thing that I was going through. Since God is no respecter of persons, I know that he can help me, just like he helped them.

Even if I have not experienced what the person is testifying about, it still blesses me because it shows that God is still working and moving on the behalf of his people.

Testimonies are so powerful.

If you see someone struggling through something that you have been delivered from, share your story. Encourage them and let them know that they can make it too.

The below clip shows a unique way to have a testimony service at church. I pray that it blesses you just like it blessed me.

I can personally attest to power of hearing someone's testimony. Oftentimes when I'm in the midst of a trial, I find myself searching, hoping, and wishing to come across someone who knows what I'm feeling, whose been where I am. That fellowship in sufferring is such an integral part of the Body of Christ. I think that perhaps many hold back from sharing their struggles because it requires a transparency and a humility that can only be given by the Spirit of God. Oh, that would more of us be willing to wear that cloak of transparency so that others could see Christ through our sufferings. So enjoyed this post!
